Helping AI agents understand real engineering and construction context

We connect P&IDs, 3D models, requirements, change history, and field evidence so AI works from verifiable engineering context — reducing guesswork, not claiming to eliminate it.

01

Process Rich Tag Graph

We collect data from the SmartPlant P&ID Database or key engineering lists, normalize objects, attributes, identifiers, and relationships against the DEXPI 2.0 specification, and build a Process Rich Tag Graph. Different sources can then be interpreted through the same Engineering Identity and Process Context.

02

Tag Resolver

Which real object does this tag point to? — Resolves a source tag to its target object, with confidence and candidates where the mapping is ambiguous.

03

Spatial Graph

The Spatial Graph is built from Smart3D objects, hierarchy, position, relationships, and metadata. Where needed, spatial context can also be built from AVEVA RVM/ATT or Navisworks object properties and hierarchy — with less richness than the Smart3D path.

04

Spatial Resolver

Which space and relationships should be reviewed right now? — Turns engineering intent into the qualified spatial rules that select the neighborhood to review.

05

Evidence Snapshot

What did the AI look at, and why did it reach that judgment? — Keeps the objects, revisions, clauses, and spatial rules behind each decision.

AI that reads files → Object identity → Relationships → Spatial context → Change & evidence → Analysis and review support

LAPIS3D is the Engineering Context Infrastructure that moves AI past simple document and model search to understanding, analyzing, and supporting review of real design and construction context. AI understands, analyzes, and identifies candidate issues; authorized engineers make final engineering decisions.
